Matt Wytock
CEO & Founder
Matt spent the first 10 years of his career at Google, culminating in senior engineering roles with the company’s core Search and Ads platforms. While at Google, he was the Founder of Keywordless Ads (Dynamic Search Ads) which was foundational in automating keyword-based search advertising. Matt was a key contributor to the query suggestion tool, for which he received the Google Founder’s award, the prestigious acknowledgement of the highest achievements across the company. Matt received his PhD in Machine Learning from Carnegie Mellon, where his work included developing large-scale convex optimization methods with applications in the next-generation electrical grid, and he was a postdoctoral scholar at Stanford. Matt founded Gridmatic in 2017 after realizing that electricity market reform is key to enabling the adoption of renewable energy and decarbonizing the grid.
